Grog's Unicode Table^©

Notes:

• Purpose and Warning: This table is set up to provide code values for HTML. Always test a code on several browsers and computers to confirm it will be readable.
• Navigation: This program is written to respond to pressing the Keyboard Arrows. Some Browsers and Operating Systems do not implement this facility. If so use the arrows in the table.
• History: Unicode development probably commenced in the 1980s. However, the Unicode Consortium was formally founded in 1991 - see History on the Unicode website.
• Empty Squares: This Table can only show symbols and characters that your computer and browser have in memory. That is why the table normally shows many empty squares.
• Coding: This table has been constructed using Decimal values. When a Symbol is selected, the Hexadecimal and Decimal values are both shown at the bottom.
• Acknowledgement: The tables of ranges are modified from Tom Whittaker (Space Science and Engineering Center, University of Wisconsin, Madision, WI). A table provides English Descriptions.
• Resource: Paul Ford provides an Interactive Table which provides both large scale characters and English Descriptions.
